What regulations govern insurance procurement in Morocco?

Insurance procurement is governed by Decree No. 2-12-349 on public contracts and ACAPS circulars on compulsory insurance for public bodies. Insurema ensures full compliance with these requirements.

Can Insurema respond to tenders on behalf of an insurer?

No. Insurema acts as broker, not insurer. We assist the contracting public body in drafting specifications and evaluating bids, ensuring best value for public funds.

What is the typical timeline from tender to contract award?

Typically 30–90 days: publication (15–30 days), submission deadline, evaluation (5–15 days), award and signature. We manage each step to meet all deadlines.

What documentation is required to start a tender process?

At minimum: description of assets/activities to be insured, number of employees (for AT), current insurance contracts if any, and budget envelope. We provide a full checklist on request.
